About This Workshop

“What would happen if…?” This question lies at the heart of creativity, experimentation, and discovery. To engage with the creative process you have to be willing to get curious, explore, show up for the work and take risks. Without risk and failure we often find ourselves standing still. If you feel like you need some new ways to shake up your working method and gain insight, clarity, and perspective this workshop series is for you!

FAIL BETTER
“Ever tried, ever failed. No matter, fail again, fail better.” -Samuel Beckett

Sometimes referred to as “the other F word” failure is a thing we are taught to avoid at all costs, especially the more advanced we become in our careers and life. Ironically, allowing yourself the freedom to get outside our comfort zone, experiment, make mistakes, fail, and try again can help break through barriers and bring clarity, synergy, and innovation to our work and experience. This workshop guides participants through a series of creative exercises that can help reframe failure as a tool, a teacher and an asset.

Participants will leave the workshop with:
*Techniques and practices for embracing risk and failure
*Tips for courting creativity in your everyday life
*Your very own “failure resume” and lessons learned from it
*List of resources to help you keep moving forward

EMBRACING ABSURDITY
This workshop will provide participants with a safe space to try a series of wacky, strange, and otherwise unconventional exercises. We’ll test the power of repetition, boundaries, and to embrace absurdity so you can start to take your work further by taking yourself a little less seriously.

Participants will leave the workshop with:
*Techniques and practices for embracing risk and failure
*Tips for courting creativity in your everyday life
*New approaches for problem-solving and team alignment
*List of resources to help you keep moving forward

THE EFFICIENCY OF INEFFICIENCY
Things like play, recreation and rest are important acts of resistance to the attention economy and necessary to creative survival. This workshop will equip participants with strategies and techniques for mindfulness, unplugging, and refilling in ways that will nurture creativity and innovation.

Participants will leave the workshop with:
*Techniques and practices for embracing risk and failure
*Tips for courting creativity in your everyday life
*Techniques for individual and group alignment and wellness
*List of resources to help you keep moving forward
